I really wanted to do the 100 character question thing that was floating around but I don’t like reblogging on this account! So I exchanged questions with @lionsarchlabs here’s the first half!
02. What is one of your character’s biggest insecurities? Are they able to hide it easily or can others easily exploit this weakness?
Nia really isn’t insecure about anything, he’s two things: prideful and grumpy. Since he can’t change the past he only focuses on moving forward, that said, it’s not like he doesn’t have misgivings or regrets. He’s very small for an asura, but as a child he was EXTREMELY small. So much so that his legs couldn’t support the weight of his head. Since he was bedridden at a crucial time in his development his muscles were atrophying. He developed an experiment with his mentor to use necromatic energy as a healing tool, essentially bringing his muscles back to life and helping them grow stronger. (He also had his legs broken and stretched to reach a ‘minimum’ height) The experiment was a success, but he later discovered the science behind it was flawed, had far too many variables and he was super lucky he didn’t die. While his legs are fine and completely healthy, he has a habit of constantly checking and making sure.
He revisited his theory as a pre-teen and made it more sound, however upon peer review by the Arcane Council, it was deemed too dangerous and locked away in the archives. So, basically if someone tried to use his legs against him, he’d probably scowl a whole ton and get hella irritated.
07. Is there a catchphrase or sound that they tend to make a lot (likely without being aware of it)?
He’s aware he clicks his tongue a lot. He’s very grumpy and has little patience for you fools.
34. Does your character have favorite foods? (breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, snacks, etc)
Nia aint got time for food, there is science to be done!
He eats what he needs to be healthy and mostly foods that can be eaten with one hand, or balanced meal tablets he’s concocted and can be eaten on the go. He has a really sensitive and acute palate, so he likes foods that are mild and not overly sweet or hot. He prefers tea, thanks for asking.
